NEWS FLASH

I certainly like Mrs. Herring's Bible class. It showed me that in high school, students don't have to be told what to do always. In Middle School teachers, can get annoying when they are always nagging students to do things. So, in conclusion I would have to say that I would prefer Mrs. Herring's Bible class MUCH more than Miss Burnetts.
Not that Miss Burnett's class isn't fun or interesting, well yeah, it's actually not interesting.

OLD BUKIT TIMAH FORD FACTORY

I am actually not going on this field trip, I will be en route to America at that time. Although, from what I read about it, it seems like an interesting and historical place. When Japan attacked Singapore from Malaysia, this Old Ford Factory is where the British who were defending Singapore surrendered

DEATH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN

Osama Bin Laden's assassination was well thought out by the president, and well executed by the United States Military. Although I don't think that we should give all the credit to President Obama, George W. Bush spent far more time and resources that Obama. Not to say that Obama should not get any credit at all, but Bush should recieve the most. In my opinion, Osama does EXSIST, Osama DESERVED TO DIE, and that he did

My Greatest Accomplishment

This year, my greatest accomplishment has definetly been my research paper. In Chicago Public school the longest paper students will write in their middle school careers is 2 1/2 pages. So, surely, writing about 5 times that amount in 2 weeks is a great accomplishment!

I really don't have many thoughts about the 7/11 party. I wasn't here when the lock in took place, so I don't have anything to complain about. I am not going, because I think it's a waste of time and I could be watching HULU eating American food.

My Experience At An ICS Sports Event

I have never attended an ICS event. If you count playing in one, then yes I have. When I was playing in the game, the fans were supportive. There is certainly a hype in the atmosphere and it's a lot of fun being there. Although Singaporean refs are not good!

What Easter Means For Myself and My Family

During Easter, I will "honor God" by going to a good friday service at RHC.
I will commemerate Easter by having a special dinner with my family on Sunday.
There really are no "Pagan Roots of Easter", the NKJV is the only official Bible translation to use the word in Easter. They actually mistranslated to word "PASSOVER" to the word "EASTER". so, although the word EASTER is not a completely Biblical word, the holiday celebrates Jesus rising. Which is obviously Biblical!

Zugzwang "in a world full of spies, no one can be trusted".

In early April, at International Community School there is an upcoming play called Zugzwang. Zugzwang is German for a "compulsion to move". The term is most often put to use in the game of chess, although it sometimes applies is similar games such as checkers. Zugwang, when formally translated finds its definition included in combinational game theory and describes a situation where one player is required to make a move, although would much rather pass.
A Quick Overview of the Author:  Andre Surridge is a playwrite as well as a poet who immigrated to New Zealand from Yorkshire England in 1972. Surridge has written many published and performed scripts with an extremely wide variety ranging from road safter to Katherine Mansfield.

Job field you would like to pursue

A job field that I would like to pursue is a career in the United States Marshal's Service. To even apply to to the USMS you must have prior military or law enforcement experience, complete and extensive background check, a pre-hire medical exam, fitness test, oral examination in front of the board, and attend a 17 + 1/2 weel training course. I would like to pursue this career because I enjoy a challenge, the pay grade is the highest of all federal law agencies, and the USMS provides a starting relocation bonus of 65,000$

what stood out to you today?

The thing that most stood out to me in Mrs. Herring's Bible class was that she took it in a slow fashion and talked things over with her students. In some classes,  the teacher views the lesson as: must be completed today, with time to spare, or the world is going to end. Mrs. Herring did not do this, I'm sure that she still finishes lessons in a timley manner, yet she gives students time to express concerns, and not only this but she practices the material. Unlike going over it once and moving on

my favorite story character

My ALL TIME favorite movie is the "Italian Job" which is a remake of the British film produced in 1999. The film stars mark whalburg who plays the crafty young prodigy of a thief who plans to steal a massive amount of gold. The story goes south when one of the crew's members double crosses them and steals all the gold for himself instead of splitting the profit. Then mark whalburg comes up with an intriguing plan to steal back the gold. You'll have to watch it to find out the ending!

favorite place to live

my favorite place to live, in fact the only other place that I have ever lived other than Singapore, is Chicago. Also known as "the windy city" downtown chicago is one of the most well developed and well known cities in the world. Not only does it offer a beatiful skyline and intriguing night life, but chicago is well known by my favorite baseball team the "Chicago Cubs".

The Philippine war, also commonly known as the Philippine-American war was an armed conflict fought between Filipino insurgents and American troops. The war was mainly over the independence the the Philipines wanted, and the Americans did not want to give them. The war began on February 4, 1899 and very rapidly lead to the main battle: Manila.

The Frogs Play

The Frogs tell a story about the ancient Greek God Dionysus. The main part of the play is about him traveling to Hades to recover Eurpides back to life. Dionysus drags along his lave Xanthias who seems to be more well rounded in many ways. This sprouts and argument between the two which is the opening seen in the play.
