In early April, at International Community School there is an upcoming play called Zugzwang. Zugzwang is German for a "compulsion to move". The term is most often put to use in the game of chess, although it sometimes applies is similar games such as checkers. Zugwang, when formally translated finds its definition included in combinational game theory and describes a situation where one player is required to make a move, although would much rather pass.
A Quick Overview of the Author: Andre Surridge is a playwrite as well as a poet who immigrated to New Zealand from Yorkshire England in 1972. Surridge has written many published and performed scripts with an extremely wide variety ranging from road safter to Katherine Mansfield.
